Miri Piri Roasted Chicken Thighs

6-7 Servings ~ 35-45 minutes
  • 2 kg Chicken thighs
  • Mr Sauce Miri Piri Sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt

This chicken here turned out fantastic beyond my expectations. It had a harvest of amazing flavour and very tasty. I tip my hat to the new kid on the block that has joined the Mr. Sauce family- Miri Piri Chilli Sauce!

Here is my review of this brand new product.

This Chili Sauce is an all rounder. This is very attractive to me.  You can use it as a condiment, marinade or in your day-to-day cooking. I personally like products that do that instead of just sitting in the pantry waiting for that special recipe.

I have tested and taste run this Chilli Sauce in all 3 applications mentioned above and it added that extra kick to the food. My absolute favourite way to use it turned out to be as a marinade. I suspect after you try it, you will also pick on your favourite angle or application. You just have to try it yourself to see what I’m raving about.

I have been a stickler for Mr. Sauce range of products for a special reason. I like it that they are all made from scratch. In my culinary dictionary you are using a real product not some premixes and what not. You can see what else I have done with this range of products starting here!

Mr Sauce Miri Piri Chilli Sauce

Now this new Miri Piri Chilli sauce is no exception, it is also made from scratch. It has a blend of ingredients that go well together with the Bird’s Eye Chilli. It’s great for those of us who love a little heat in their food as well as those among us who don’t (the power is in your hands as to how much to put in your food)!

This is special…my kids loved the roasted chicken thighs made with this Chilli Sauce. Even whilst in the grill, the aroma that filled the kitchen got their taste buds going they could not wait to dig in! By the way, if you enjoy chicken thighs, I suggest these Recipes with Chicken Thighs.

To reproduce what I did in this recipe follow this method…

Do This

  1. Get your ingredients together. Put the chicken thighs into your marinating container/bowl.
  2. Season with salt then add the Mr Sauce Miri Piri Sauce (be as generous as you see fit!).Gently massage the sauce onto each piece.
  3. Close and marinate for a minimum 2hrs up to overnight.Grill at 180 degrees Celsius or braai until done (about 30-45 minutes in the oven, depending on the size of your chicken portions). Enjoy!

You can enjoy the chicken with a salad or any starch or your preference with some gravy or steamed or roasted vegetables.
