Tomato and Pilchards Salsa

  • 1 x 155 g Royal Ocean Pilchards in chilli sauce
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp deseeded green chilli, chopped
  • Juice from 1/2 a lime
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

I enjoyed making this tomato and pilchards salsa! Who would have ever thought that that combo wold work great as a salsa?! Everyone who took a bite of it enjoyed it. It was all consumed to the last bit. You can serve this as an appetizer or enjoy it as a snack. Royal Ocean Pilchards in chilli sauce helped to add an extra kick to this salsa, making it absolutely yum!

Equipment

  • Chopping board
  • Sharp knife
  • Bowl
  • Tablespoon

 

Instructions

  1. Get your ingredients together. These include; 1 x 155 g Royal Ocean Pilchards in chilli sauce
    2 large tomatoes, chopped
    1 medium red onion, chopped
    1 tsp deseeded green chilli, chopped
    Juice from 1/2 a lime
    1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
    Salt and pepper to taste
  2. Separate the pilchards from their sauce.
  3. Put the tomatoes, onion, green chilli and pilchards into a bowl. Squeeze half the lime into the bowl then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Sprinkle the fresh coriander as a garnish and your salsa is ready, enjoy!
